Field Trip Description: Riverside Park (110 Memorial Drive, Victoria, Texas, 77901)
Registration required one week in advance (by February 16th). Minimum for the trip is 3 participants. NOTE THAT CURRENTLY FIELD TRIPS ARE OPEN TO ALL INTERESTED PARTIES.

Group Meets: Field Trip Group will meet at Riverside Park, Victoria, Texas (110 Memorial Drive, Victoria, Texas, 77901). The Field Trip Group will caravan with occasional stops at appropriate sites within the park
Rest Stop / Bathroom Breaks: Bathrooms are located throughout the park.
Stress level: Moderate, a little walking.
Optional Lunch: Participants can meet at the Pump House Restaurant (1201 Stayton Ave., in Riverside Park). This restaurant overlooks the Guadalupe River and is near the Riverside Zoo.
Birds of special interest: Wood Duck; Bald Eagle; Barred Owl; Green Kingfisher; Red-headed, Red-bellied, Downy, and Pileated Woodpeckers; Blue-headed and Plumbeous Vireos; Blue Jay; American Crow; Red-breasted Nuthatch (invasion years only); Brown Creeper; Carolina Chickadee; Winter Wren; Tufted Titmouse; Eastern Bluebird; American Robin; Gray Catbird; Cedar Waxwing; Black-and-white Warbler; Spotted and Eastern Towhees; Black-headed Grosbeak (invasion years only); Common and Boat-tailed Grackles; Song and Fox Sparrows; Bullock's Oriole; Red Crossbill (invasion years only); Evening Grosbeak (Invasion years only ).
MATERIALS TO HAVE AVAILABLE: Scope, binoculars, comfortable hiking shoes, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent (especially for chiggers & mosquitoes). Always be on the look out for fire ants. Be sure to bring water.
